A few years ago I was a regular at The Flaming Lips message board forum. Back in 2002 I got into ‘the Lips’ due to Steve Burns collaboration and video appearances with them. – click - Ex-'Blue's Clues' Host Steve Burns An Indie Rocker At Heart. The former children's show host records songs with help from members of Flaming Lips. The members of the forums are the Modest Mouse, Radiohead, Beck, Weezer kinda folks but mainly they are into the sense of community The Lips has created over the years. And I’ve seen Steve Burns live in San Francisco which was not only fun but reflected that he is a fan of and influenced by the avant garde combination of word-play, new media tools, and concept art that The Flaming Lips are known for.

They just went through the board server change like we did here. I wasn't active at colboard when it was going down but I did know some of what was going on. Our new forum here is better actually but people sure bitched about the change. So The Flaming Lips 'colboard' has just died and there are some adjustments in getting used to their new digs. My log-in there is currently flying a double sig-quote as are any of the other members who created one.

I really wish I would have known about this months ago. I would have tried to save my pennies to go, but of course it's a little late notice now... Us at the Flaming Lips board are very glad that you at least tried to let us know. The old board IS still functional, and thats where most of us still are. I let them all know about this on there for you! I am VERY excited about it! I just got done following them up the coast out in California and Oregon. I'm a huge fan. ^_^

Hi PistashioNut and thanks for transferring the info. I saw a thread at the 'new' board about the old board not working so that's what I thought had happened. If you come back go ahead and give us the link to that and I'll go over there and bug them too. ~ cheers ~
